The SAHRC is investigating Jones after complaints were laid relating to some of the statements he had made about the Eben Etzebeth case.
A video clip of the pensioner, who was tied to a steel bench at Mamelodi Hospital earlier this year, caused outrage after going viral.
At a public meeting, Jones vowed to ‘set an example’ of Etzebeth, whom he accused of ‘getting away with murder’.
The complainants allege the Bok assaulted them and called them ‘h*tn*tte’.
However, the Human Rights Commission is not considering settling the matter, saying the minimum amount for hate speech cases should be R200,000.
