In celebration of the Rugby World Cup final taking place on Saturday, the Drakensberg Boys Choir’s ‘World in Union’ rendition started trending again.
The choir initially shared the video on their Facebook page when the Rugby World Cup kicked off back in September.
Now, the Springboks and England will take on each other for the ultimate trophy, the Webb Ellis Cup.
On Facebook, the Drakensberg Boys Choir said:
“We are proud to present this video in support of our National Rugby Team, the Springboks.”

South African composer, Lebo M and the Drakensberg Boys Choir was recently invited to take part in the 20th-anniversary celebrations of the world-famous musical, The Lion King.
Lebo M, who has been involved with The Lion King since the original 1994 animated film, and the Drakensberg Boys Choir performed at the Lyceum Theatre during a special tribute to the creative team behind the show this past weekend.
They performed during a performance of the show which was attended by all cast members who performed in the show during the past 20 years.
The official Facebook Page of The Lion King – Musical shared a ‘highlight’ clip of the performance and said:
“In celebration of the 20th anniversary of The Lion King in London, legendary South African composer Lebo M (who is the songwriter for the musical) treated tonight’s audience to an incredible extra performance featuring the Drakensberg Boys Choir. We are proud to share it with you!”
According to SAPeople, the Drakensberg Boys Choir was in the UK, some of them on their first ever trips abroad, visiting famous destinations like Windsor Castle and performing for an international audience around the UK.
The Choir said they had to rehearse and prepare in secret for a few days leading up to the performance.
The choir later said:
“The DBC made their appearance alongside Lebo M in a surprise act at the end of the show. Thank you, Disney Theatre Group and Lebo M for giving our boys the opportunity of a lifetime. It was a phenomenal experience which they will never forget.”
The match between South Africa and England kicks off at 11:00 (SAST) on Saturday.
